Six months before the kick-off of the FIFA Women’s Under-22 World Cup in India in 2022, the international governing body of football associations has announced three cities that will host the tournament. Zurich (Switzerland), April 13 The Under-17 Women’s World Cup will be held in three stadiums: Goa’s Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Stadium and Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium. FIFA confirmed in a statement on Wednesday at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai from October 11 to 30. ON WEDNESDAY, the FIFA World Football Organization named Bhubaneswar, Goa and Navi Mumbai as host cities for the next FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup to be held in October, with the next FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup to be held before the end of the year in October of this year.
Six months before the 2022 FIFA Women’s Under-17 World Cup India 2022, FIFA announced Bhubaneswar, Goa and Navi Mumbai as host cities for the tournament and confirmed that the draw for the tournament would take place on 24 June in Zurich. Praful Patel, Organizing Committee President, AIFF President and FIFA Council Member, said: “The host states of the U17 Women’s World Cup – Maharashtra, Goa and Odisha – share our excitement and enthusiasm that they are leaving a lasting legacy, shining in a bright holiday dedicated to Indian culture, diversity and the love of a good game. While Goa and Navi Mumbai have already shown considerable experience in hosting international tournaments, Bhubaneswar, the future sports superpower, is a perfect fit for the growth and development values of the Women’s Youth 17 World Cup.
In addition, to host India, six countries, Brazil, Chile, the People’s Republic of China, Colombia, Japan and New Zealand, have already confirmed their participation in the Under-19 FIFA World Cup and will participate in the tournament draw. Following the cancellation of the 2020 tournament, India was named as the host of the 2022 Under-17 World Cup Final, making it the second Indian-hosted FIFA competition. Instead, India was named the host of the next tournament in 2022.
Following FIFA’s recent successful visit to India, as the COVID-19 situation develops, the decision on the new venue for the competition has been made. Additionally, FIFA, All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) have also confirmed that the host city has been updated to host FIFA U 17-2022 following the cancellation of the 2020 Championship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
